Lighting up Albert County is a movement to see every street adopted in prayer, every neighbour loved, and every town engaged.
Local pastors came together in unity with a desire to see Albert County reached for Christ and every home covered in prayer. Prayer Lighthouses grew out of that shared calling.
Ordinary believers spiritually adopt their block, apartment building, or rural road. They pray, build relationships, serve practical needs, and share the love of Jesus as opportunities open.
The invitation reaches across denominations and communities: love your neighbours, pray faithfully, and watch for what God is doing.
THE ORGANISATION BEHIND IT
Albert Association
of Baptist Churches.
The Albert Association of Baptist Churches brings together 19 member churches working in unity to further the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Its mission is to help churches make disciples and promote spiritual oneness, drawing on Matthew 28:18–20 and Ephesians 4:2–6.
The association leads the Lighting up Albert County initiative, with Brenda Hawkes serving as Executive Director and the contact for the Prayer Lighthouse movement.

The movement follows four principles of prayer evangelism from Luke 10: bless, fellowship, minister to felt needs, and proclaim the Kingdom.
